Advanced Training
The Advanced Training is a direct continuation of the foundational Level 1 course and is designed to help practitioners gain more confidence in applying the Tamura Method with a variety of clients. This training expands and deepens the core principles introduced in Level 1, while also introducing advanced somatic, relational, and energetic skills.
The emphasis is not only on technical refinement but also on the practitioner’s own growth, presence, and capacity. Practitioners are supported in identifying their personal growth edges and strengthening their embodiment of the Adult Self as a therapeutic foundation.
The training is structured in two in-person modules, each 4 days long.
What's Covered in Level 2
Advanced Assessment

Learn to recognize a client’s primary emotional and somatic themes

Deepen your ability to read body signals, relational cues, and energetic patterns

Learn to track the presence of the Child Self in both content and body expression
Refining Connection with the Child Self

Develop a more nuanced and attuned relationship with the client’s Child Self

Support the emergence of the healthy, integrated self alongside the wounded parts
Advanced Touch and Energy Skills

Improve your ability to soften common holding patterns in the body.

Refine your skills in using different forms of touch and energy flow

Learn to introduce subtle vibration and body-led movement
Therapeutic Strategy

Strengthen your ability to move fluidly between talk-based and touch-based work

Clarify therapeutic goals and session structure

Refine your ability to navigate the interface between somatic patterns and emotional meaning
Practitioner Development

Explore your own developmental themes in a supportive group setting

Recognize your growth edges and cultivate groundedness in the Adult Self

Deepen your intuitive presence and relational confidence
Foundational Trauma Skills

Learn core principles of working with trauma and developmental trauma

Training Logistics:
Training will be two weekends:

Friday - Monday, October 31st-November 3rd
-
Friday - Monday, December 12th-15th.
Times:

9:30 am - 5:00 pm, each day.
Location: Sacred Streams, 2149 Byron St, Berkeley, CA 94702.
Cost: $3100 (or 3 payments of $1050).
Early registration fee $2850 by August 31st by using code L2EARLY.
Cancellation received by September 30th will be refunded minus $150 administrative cost. No refunds from October 1st.
